Waiting In Vegas

I have a migraine and my head is pounding every half second or so.  I am managing to get all my table’s orders correct, keep everyone’s drinks full, and still half fake smile.

A single man comes in to eat and is sat in my section.  He is spanish or something and his cologne is so strong I have to hold my breath while talking to him.  I get his order and refill his water and soda twice before his food comes.  He eats, pays, and leaves a 20% tip (surprising since most foreigners who spend so much on cologne can no longer afford to tip).  As he leaves another server is standing at the hostess stand with two hostesses and my manager.  The man says to my manager “She is a good server,” – referring to the other server.  The other server says “Where were you sitting at?”  He points over at his empty table – in my section.  The other server says “I wasn’t your server.”  He says “I know but you seem like a good server – I can tell by the way you talk to your tables.”  Then when the other server asks about the server that actually waited on him, the man said “Oh, she’s nice too.”

My manager and the other server continued to taunt me for the rest of the night.
